| | Rev. John Considine, Senior Minister
Rev. Considine was ordained as a Unity Minister in 1998. He has served as the senior minister Unity Church of North Idaho; Unity Church of the Valley (San Jose, CA), and Unity Northwest Church (Des Plaines, IL). He also served as an Associate Minister at Renaissance Unity (Warren, MI). Prior to his career as a minister, Rev. Considine had a private practice as an attorney for 22 years and has also worked in advertising, marketing, fundraising, community theatre, and served as a State Representative in Florida. Before joining us here at Detroit Unity, Rev. Considine worked with Silent Unity in Unity Village, Missouri. Rev. Alfreda Williams, Adjunct Minister Rev. Williams, who currently serves as one of our adjunct ministers, has a long and rich history with Unity. After being ordained in 1983, she was the Director of the Library at Unity School in Unity Village. She has also served as the associate minister here at Detroit Unity, and as the senior minister at Unity of Pontiac. She has taught many classes at Detroit Unity Temple and currently shares her extensive knowledge of Unity as the facilitator for our What is Unity Class. Rev. Carol Ford Amos, M.A., Adjunct Minister Rev. Amos attended seminary at Unity School of Christianity in Unity Village, and was ordained a Unity Minister in 1983. She also holds a Masters in Educational Leadership. Over her 25 year career as a Unity Minister, Rev. Amos has served at Unity churches in Toronto, Asbury Park, NJ, Arlington, TX, Battle Creek, and Kalamazoo, MI. She also worked at Borgess Hospital, in Kalamazoo as a professional Chaplain abd served on the City of Kalamazoo’s strategic planning committee. Rev. Amos has served on several committees for the Association of Unity Churches, including the Licensing and Ordination Committee for eight years. She has spoken around the U.S. and Canada and has been featured in two books, Emerging Women (Julie Keene), and Journey of Urban Ministers (by The Unity Urban Ministerial School). She has also been featured in numerous newspaper articles.
